The Chittorgarh Fort in the Indian state of Rajasthan is one of a cluster of forts in the area, all of them collectively designated a Unesco World Heritage Site. The forts are about 1,500 years old although their precise origins are not known. Chittorgarh is one of the largest fortresses in the country. It has seven gates, four palaces and 19 temples, and its perimeter is about 8 miles long. It even comes with its own system of catchment ponds.
