The Quiz: To make these handprints, the artists blew paint through pipes made of what?
A Stone
B Bone
C Plant stems
It’s unknown exactly who the artists were who created these stunning handprints. They could have been hunter-gatherers, cave-dwellers, or even young men participating in a rite of passage, but we do know from the fragments that were discovered on site, that the prints were created by placing a hand against the rock face and blowing paint through a tube made of bone. Of the 829 handprints, most are male, one has six fingers, and all but 31 are of right hands.
The correct answer to this quiz is Bone.
