The Quiz: Which architect designed the Petronas Towers?
A I.M. Pei
B Rem Koolhaas
C César Pelli
The late Argentine American architect designed the Petronas Towers in a postmodern style that incorporated motifs of Islamic art, reflecting Malaysia’s dominant religion. The towers are probably Pelli’s most famous accomplishment, but he designed buildings around the globe including the World Financial Center (now known as Brookfield Place), which was damaged in the 9/11 attack but fully restored. His final design was the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco, completed a year before he died in 2019.
The correct answer to this quiz is César Pelli.
