In the early 80s, a British pub owner drew attention for creating what item related to hedgehogs?

A A pincushion
B Potato chips
C A stuffed animal

Inspired by tales of Romani people baking hedgehogs in clay over campfires, Phillip Lewis somehow got the idea of making ‘Hedgehog Flavoured Potato Crisps.’ Made with pork fat and herbs, the chips contained no actual hedgehog in the ingredients. Turns out, that violated a British trade act about misleading consumers, so Lewis was embroiled in spiky scandal.

Lewis eventually reached an agreement to describe the crisps as ‘Hedgehog Flavour’ instead of ‘Hedgehog Flavoured.’ In order to commission a more authentic taste, he also interviewed Romani people about the process of cooking hedgehog. By 1991, the brand was worth $3.6 million and donated frequently to the British hedgehog conservation charity Tiggywinkles, which of course was named after the answer to our previous question. The chips were sold until at least 1994.

The correct answer is Potato chips.
